Geoff and Julie have always enjoyed growing their own food organically, and when they renovated their terrace house in Alexandria, Sydney, it was a great opportunity to set up some innovative small space food systems. With a keen interest in permaculture and after attending plenty of workshops they asked Steve to design their edible garden.
Working closely with CplusC Architectural Workshop who designed and built the house, Steve created a water saving, nutrient cycling, energy efficient, beautiful and seriously productive courtyard garden.
Lawn, chooks, rain garden, wicking beds, seating, vertical aquaponics, vertical compost garden system, car parking space, bike storage, water tank are all included in just 45 square metres of space.
